Owner Story: Forever Grateful to the Engineers Who "Did One Heck of a Job" Making Saturns Safe

On April 5th, 2006, I was on my way to pick up my girlfriend from her job. I approached one of the busy intersections in our area, and as I went through the intersection, my car was suddenly going sideways, being pushed into oncoming traffic. A car had run their red light, and ended up t-boning my L200 at 40-50 miles per hour.

Thank goodness the oncoming traffic saw what was happening, and one lady pulled in front of some other cars to stop them from plowing in to me. I did get some injuries, but had I been in any other vehicle, I do not think I would have fared so well. You would not believe that the car wasn't bent in half. Had it been the car we had before this one, I probably would not be sending this letter to you. Whoever designed the L200 did one heck of a job, and I will always be grateful to the person or persons involved.

The car was not totaled, nor did any airbags deploy. The police officer at the scene said that the way the vehicle was made is what saved me from more serious injuries. Yes, I do love my Saturn, and at this point, I believe we will be buying another Saturn when we are done with this one.
