GM Employee Discount Promotion Set to Return

General Motors will once again offer an employee discount incentive to help drive traffic into showrooms and boost August sales. The promotion, according to an Automotive News report published this afternoon, will start August 20th and will apply to all GM brands, including Saturn. It will reportedly run through the end of Labor Day weekend. The company's focus will be to clear out any remaining 2008 models, however some 2009 GM models will be included in the sale. "We are going to have an employee-discount-for-everyone program," GM spokesman John McDonald confirmed to Automotive News today. "We are going to issue a press release tomorrow morning with the details." Several Saturn sales consultants reported to SaturnFans.com earlier today that the GM announced the promotion to retailers late this afternoon. More details will be posted after the official announcement is released by GM tomorrow.
