Zero-Percent Financing Incentive Extended

Saturn 72 Hour Sale

Saturn and General Motors are extending the zero-percent "72 Hour Sale" on select 2008 models that proved to be a successful way to boost sales in the last week of June. The promotion "sparked momentum by getting customers off the couch and back into the stores," Mark LaNeve, GM vice president of North American sales, service, and marketing told Advertising Age. "It really helped build demand." Like before, not all 2008 Saturn vehicles are included in the sale. The deal offers qualified buyers 0% financing for 72 months on 2008 Saturn Aura, Vue, and Sky models. The incentive will run through Monday, July 7th.

Ad Age reports Mr. LeNeve told reporters on a conference call earlier today that "he believes the carmaker improved its market share by one point in the month to about 22%. As a result, GM fended off Toyota, which had threatened to take away its market-share lead in June."
