2010 Saturn Astra Spied!

The folks at LeftlaneNews.com have posted what are believed to be pictures of the next-generation Saturn Astra. The new car, which according to the auto site, will be sold "as a Saturn in North America, an Opel in Germany, Holden in Australia, and a Vauxhall in Britain," is expected to arrive in 2010.

No real particulars about Saturn's version are available at this time, but industry sources expect a traditional 4-door sedan version to join the 3- and 5-door hatchback versions. Opel likely has a wider array of models on tap, including "an estate ('Caravan' wagon), a convertible ('Twin Top'), and the 3-door ('GTC'), all following the 5-door's introduction," said Leftlane.

Production of the next-gen Saturn Astra is expected to move to North America when the new model debuts. The current Saturn Astra is imported from a General Motors Europe plant in Antwerp, Belgium. While details are few and far between at the moment, Saturn is expected to offer more engine choices in the new model, notably performance-oriented motor and a hybrid powertain.

I was car shopping and found this treasure.
