Cars.com recently released its list of the top 10 2008 model year hybrid vehicles on the market. The website says it hopes ratings and rankings methodology will help consumers get a clear understanding of these vehicles' fuel-efficiency and price differences compared to their non-hybrid counterparts.

In its 2008 auto show issue, Consumer Reports is introducing a new way to compare vehicles: cost of ownership. "In addition to shopping for a good deal," CR writes on its website, "car buyers should also consider how much a model will cost them to own. That includes depreciation, fuel costs, interest, insurance, sales tax, and maintenance and repair costs."

The Cars Guide over at About.com assembled a list of the top 10 best cars for teenager drivers. In order to make the list, the online portal said vehicles had to be "reliable, easy to drive, affordable, and well suited to young, inexperienced drivers."
