Retailers Hopeful, Looking Forward to the Future SaturnFans.com February 20, 2006 Saturn retailers from around the country descended upon Orlando, Florida last week to attend the 2006 National Automobile Dealers Association convention. On the top of their minds is the upcoming launch of four very important vehicles for them this year, including the Sky roadster, Aura midsize sedan, Vue Green Line hybrid, and the midsize Outlook crossover wagon. "Everybody wants to make sure that we have an introduction that goes well, and we're very focused on making sure that happens," Saturn General Manager Jill Lajdziak told Automotive News. Retailers are counting on the company to launch the vehicles without delay and with pricing that's competitive. "We're all looking for a flawless execution of these deliveries, and that's not something we have a great tradition with," Geoffrey Pohanka, president of Pohanka Automotive Group, told the publication. "This could be our comeback year." Pohanka owns three Saturn stores in Maryland. During the meeting Lajdziak reportedly told retailers that Saturn will provide full details of its marketing and launch plans at the company's franchise meeting in April. At that time, Automotive News wrote that she said Saturn "will go over issues of marketing, advertising, customer relations and allocation for each product." "They're planning this well," Pohanka told Automotive News after the meeting. "It's up to us to make sure it all works out perfectly."
