New-for-2009 Saturn Vue XR 2.4L Announced

It's pending arrival has been rumored for several weeks, but now it is official: Saturn recently announced the availability of a new 2.4L version of it's uplevel Vue XR sport-utility on the brand's ImSaturn social networking website. Spokesman Mike Morrissey revealed some of the features that will be offered in the vehicle. "At Saturn, we don't think you should not have to give up cool vehicle features just to save money at the gas pump," he wrote. "That's why we are introducing a new version of the well-equipped Vue XR with an efficient four-cylinder engine."

Visitors are welcomed by an updated home page animation that encourage folks to "meet" their favorite Saturn model. You can build your own 2009 Saturn and take advantage of enhanced shopping and financing tools.

Good Gas Mileage, Capable Handling Make Saturn Aura "Worth a Look"

Mike Hanley from Cars.com recently took at look at the new-for-2009 2.4L version of the Saturn Aura XR midsize sedan. The Aura XR is still offered with a 3.6L V6, but the new 4-cylinder powerplant gives customers a more fuel efficient option. Regardless of the powerplant you choose you'll get GM's smooth shifting six-speed automatic transmission. The "automatic's gearing is well-matched to the four-cylinder," he wrote.

The first 2009 Saturn brochures are beginning to show up at retail facilities around the country. This year's book features glossy pages with sharp, vivid color photos. FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) paper was used and, according to Saturn, that means "a minimum of 30% post-consumer recovered fiber" is used in the creation of the paper. In addition, the company says the "electricity used in the manufacturing process is generated from renewable resources."
